At times you may hear people say “I just don’t get the opportunities that others do”. In most cases, its not the number of opportunities that is lacking, its that they’re often not ready when they come.  Most people will work a safe job for a decent wage and when offered an exciting job with lots more pay that involves some risk, they will choose low risk/low reward over higher risk/higher reward.
