When your relationship is going downhill, don’t think lighting a match and putting a giant log on it will suffice.  You have to keep the fire going - daily.  

Big things and little things…they all add up, but burning hot for a week or two and then letting the fire go out will make both of you cold over time and eventually…you will both freeze to death.  

Great women aren’t looking for a guy with money falling out of his pockets, a dozen roses every Monday, or wine and candlelit dinners every three days…but simply going to work every day, talking for ten minutes a day about nothing between commercials, and spending more time with your computer when you get home than her does not make her feel special.

The thing is, you don’t have to be extravagant.  Most women would be happy to have a hand-made heart with a nice message placed on her pillow, a ten minute neck or foot rub before going to bed, a two minute prayer while holding hands before getting up in the morning, or a cup of hot chocolate with whipped cream brought to them after a long day.
